Logo "Buffalo
Nations", Artist: Richard Red Owl
Our logo represents all Indian nations of South Dakota. The Northern Plains
Indians are the buffalo nation. The painting shows four buffalo of different
color, representing the four directions of the earth. The sacred Black Hills
to the Great Plains are our homeland. We offer our homes to travelers in our
nation to educate and share our rich history.
The
Sun at the top of the painting represents ATTA as an entity of the
Nation that will be long lasting and can be counted on just the sun
itself. The 12 months of the year indicated by the 12 moons at the
bottom is a statement that ATTA is a year round operation.
The
Red Road indicated ATTA’s intentions as pure and respectful.
Respecting Mother Earth and all of her inhabitants, our culture, homeland,
history, and people in all tourism ventures.
